It’s time to announce the 2024 CALEB Finalists!

We are thrilled to announce the finalists in the 2024 CALEB Awards, celebrating the best in Christian fiction and nonfiction from Australia and New Zealand. We had almost 50 entries across four categories this year, with so many great books to read.

The first-round judges have done a great job, and now it is up to our final-round judges in each category to pick our winners.

We typically have three finalists in each category, but this year we have four finalists in the Early Reader/Middle Grade category due to a tie.

Here are the finalists for the 2024 CALEB Awards (in alphabetical order within each category):

Early Reader/Middle Grade

Nonfiction

  • Waiting to be Well by Angela C Millen
  • Shelia by Pamela Morrison
  • The Gender Revolution by Patricia Weerakoon; Robert Smith; Kamal Weerakoon

Congratulations to all our 2024 CALEB finalists!

The winners will be announced on the evening of Saturday 21 September as part of the 2024 Omega Writers Conference which runs from 20 to 22 September at the Metro Mirage Hotel, Newport, NSW.

We have some great speakers lined up for the conference including bestselling US author and publisher Susan May Warren, so encourage you prayerfully consider attending for the full conference. There are also day tickets available (and the Saturday day ticket includes dinner and the awards).
