Today, our guest is author Lenora Worth, who is a NY Times, USA Today, and Publishers Weekly bestselling author of over 80 inspirational fiction books.
Welcome to ACW blog, Lenora! We’re glad to have you.
Tea or coffee?
COFFEE!!
Contemporary or historical novels?
Mostly contemporary. But when I need a break, I love a good Regency romance.
Austen or Brontes?
Both, but I like the moody Brontes best.
Staycation or travel?
I like to travel, but a good staycation is always fun.
Are you a plotter or a pantser?
Definitely a pantser!
Most creative in morning, day, or night?
I’m no good in early morning, and I usually hit my stride when I’ve got two hours until sundown to write a chapter!
Tell us a little about yourself.
I’m officially a senior citizen now. I’m Southern to the core, and as of March 2023 I will have been a published author for 30 years! My dream job!
Tell us about your latest release.
My latest release is a Love Inspired Suspense title, Retribution at the Ranch. It’s an intense story that starts on Caddo Lake and moves to the Texas Hill Country. I loved revisiting places I used to visit when I lived ten miles from Texas in Shreveport, Louisiana.
How would you describe your style of novels?
Southern, heartwarming, emotional. And hopefully a good escape, and a good read.
How does your faith impact your writing?
In every way, I can see God’s hand in giving me this career. He knew I had very little skills with anything else! Seriously, prayer has guided me from day one. And when I fail, I turn back to Him to show me the way.

Many of your books feature an animal on the covers, specifically dogs? Are you an animal lover?
I do love animals. I grew up on a farm with dogs, cats, sometimes rabbits, and lots of piggies!! I don’t have an animal now, but I’m hinting for a puppy!
I love writing the suspenseful K-9 books for Love Inspired Suspense, but I’ve taken a break from those intense stories for a while. That’s where you see a lot of dogs on the covers, and I did have a dog in my Christmas story, The X-Mas Club, that played an important role in that story. I know first hand that all animals are therapy animals. They bring us unconditional joy!
If you could time travel anywhere to any time, where and when would you go?
I’ve always wanted to go to Ireland because it’s so lush and full of mystery. Haven’t been yet. If I could go back in time—maybe the Gilded Age. I’ve always loved King Arthur stories too, so I wouldn’t mind sitting with the Knights of the Round Table.
When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?
In the fourth grade when we had a huge writing project. I enjoyed it while all my friends moaned. I started writing short stories and selling them on the playground for a quarter each.
Where can we find your books and connect with you online?

Hi, Jenny! Great to hear from you!
I’ve borrowed several of your K-9 books from my library and enjoyed them. I loved your story of writing stories and selling them for 25c at school!
Thank you, Dienece! I do love to write and always have. ;0
Hi Leonora. Our library network has quite a few of your e-books and I’ve read several – I’ve just borrowed another one! Thank you.
Thank you, Susan. I hope you keep reading them!
Thank you for sharing with us.
I have wanted to go to Ireland since I was 18, still waiting and trusting it WILL happen at just the right time for both of us!
Blessings,
