It’s Iola here. Welcome to our Australasian Christian Writers Tuesday Book Chat, where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Who is your favourite Christian speculative fiction author?
What do you like most about his/her books?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation in a comment on this post or in a comment on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Or, if you’re feeling wordy (like me), write a blog post and link to it in the comments.
Let’s chat!

Um what is speculative fiction?
I supposed I should have made that clear in the post! Speculative fiction covers genres like science fiction, fantasy, slipstream, time travel, and any other genre that has a slight paranormal element. For example, Frank Peretti’s books had angels and demons, so would be classed as speculative.
Oh ok I am not sure I loved C.S. Lewis’s Narnia series.
I really enjoyed Jeanette O’Hagan’s Heart of the Mountain series of novellas. I’ve been enjoying Adam David Collings’ space opera series Jewel of the Stars. Have just finished Episode 2. I also enjoyed Steven James’s latest book that looked at artifical intelligence – Synapse.
I also enjoyed Synapse (once I got past the weird first chapter). Thanks for visiting 🙂
