Today I am reviewing Abducted in the Woods by Kerry Johnson

Book description

Just when Sarah Brindley believes she and her son, Liam, are safe from the men who murdered her husband, they are attacked–and Liam is taken. Her only hope is to team up with her brother-in-law, forest ranger Tucker Brindley, to uncover who is targeting her family.

Book Review

Thanks to Netgalley for my review copy

Wow this book starts with a bang. Right from the first paragraph you can tell there is danger and suspense. Sarah Brindley has just witnessed the murder of her husband and has fled. She’s packed up and taken her son Liam and Mr Meow and gone to her Aunt’s house, the one place she has ever felt safe. It’s here where Liam is taken and we meet Tucker her husband’s twin brother.

The two are working together with the police department. They need to find out who has Liam and why Sarah is being targeted. There is danger around every corner. Oh and I can’t forget Onyx the dog who works with Tucker who along with Mr Meow add to the story. It surprises me how Sarah or Tucker survived all the trials the author put them through. But the main concern was for Liam.

As the story unwinds, we learn more about Tanner (her murdered husband) and what he was like. When they were younger, they first met and Tanner caused some issues between Tucker and Sarah which neither of them realised at the time. It was good to see how caring Tucker is and devoted to his job and protecting Sarah. There are also elements of forgiveness and learning to trust God.

I enjoyed the whole story, from the faith element, suspense side and personal side. It was a satisfying ending, and I do hope this is the end of major trouble for them.

If you enjoy LIS this book won’t let you down.

    1. It was and believable, it was one where while the heroine was desparate to get her child back she didn’t let emotions rule what she did. Too many books have the Heroine make irrational decisions and put themselves in danger but thankfully this one doesn’t do that.
