When Susan Page Davis asked if I would like to read this book I jumped at the chance. This is a new mystery series and I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

Campbell McBride drives to her father’s house in Murray, Kentucky, dreading telling him she’s lost her job as an English professor. Her father, Bill McBride, isn’t there or at his office in town. His brash young employee, Nick Emerson, says Bill hasn’t come in this morning, but he did call the night before with news that he had a new case.
When her dad doesn’t show up by late afternoon, Campbell and Nick decide to follow up on a phone number he’d jotted on a memo sheet. They learn who last spoke to her father, but they also find a dead body. The next day, Campbell files a missing persons report. When Bill’s car is found, locked and empty in a secluded spot, she and Nick must get past their differences and work together to find him. (less)
My Review
This is another great Mystery by Susan Page Davis. I am not reading much but this book got me in. I wanted to know more. Campbell comes home after being retrenched from her job and finds her dad missing. Her Father is a PI and with the help of his employee Nick and the local police detective they set out to find him. Campbell wants to find her father and they go about piecing together his last movements and asking questions of people who had seen him and also information on the possible case he was on. I won’t give more details as this is a mystery and readers need to find clues themselves. However I found I had ideas of what would happen and it changed several times.
I like the idea of having a Private Detective agency as the main focus of the book. Now I am eagerly waiting for the next book in the series. As I mentioned I am not reading as much due to health issues but this book had me wanting to find times to read and made me want to read more.
If you like a mystery involving Private Investigators this is the book for you.
Thanks to the author for my review copy.
