Today I am reviewing Buried Wilderness Secrets by Jamie Jo Wright

Book Description:

could be deadly…

And when cold case detective Wade Marlowe reveals that her birth mother was the murderer’s first victim, it soon becomes clear that Aaliyah has been marked as his next target. As their search into the past reveals old skeletons and puts Aaliyah in ever-increasing danger, she’ll have to rely on Wade to keep her safe. My Review:

Thanks to netgalley for my review copy.

I am on a bit of a Romantic Suspense kick and did enjoy this book. The romance is a slow burn with the suspense the bigger part of the book like it should be. Park Ranger Aaliyah is on patrol with her dog peaches when her dog brings her a bone. She has stumbled across a serial killer’s burial ground. While there she is attacked by the killer. Wade a FBI cold case detective has come about a cold case which turns out to be related to the latest bodies.

We find out the identity of the first victim was Aaliyah birth mother and looks like the killer is now after her. This starts a chain of events where she is in danger and being stalked by the killer. Wade is determined to keep her safe and not let what happened to his sister happen again. There is a lot of action and while I had ideas about who was out to get her I didn’t guess questions. I liked how the story played out and again the landscape is definitely its only character.

Another good Love Inspired Suspense.
