Today I am reviewing Jenny Glazebrook’s upcoming release.
In Truth and Love releases on 30 April 2024 and so far is my read of the year. If you are looking for a faith filled inspirational book this may be the book for you.
Book Description
She wants to leave before she gets hurt again. But what if it’s too late?
Jodie Ladan is tired of goodbyes. People have come and gone her whole life, and this time she refuses to be the one left behind. It’s time to take control, move to New York, and live out her dream of being a journalist. She’s already been accepted into NYU and her plans are coming together.
Brandon Taylor’s life is unraveling before his eyes. His mother is dying, he has seriously wounded a friend, and to add insult to injury, a distant relative is trying to have his father’s house demolished.
Can anything else go wrong? Or can God use what others have meant for harm, for good?
Brandon and Jodie discover that when they speak the truth in love, God gives them every weapon they need to demolish the strongholds of the enemy.
Trinity Lakes is about to witness a battle for truth that only God can win.
A SEEKING TRUTH AND HEALING HEARTS, REDEMPTION ROMANCE
My Review:
Thanks to the Author for my review copy.
What can I say this book is even better than Jenny Glazebrook’s first book in the series. This book is full of faith and covers issues such as pride, unworthiness along with a few other issues.
Firstly, if you haven’t read Jenny’s previous book along with the books prior in the series you will be a little confused. For the best reading experience I would recommend reading previous books in the series especially in season One. Narelle Atkins’, Iola Goulton’s and Jenny’s first book are the most linked in the series. You won’t be too confused missing this year’s books, but it would enrich your reading.
We again see Brandon who is getting to know his father, Luke, and the Ladan family. This time the heroine is Jodie. Brandon is Jodie’s brother Josh’s best friend.
Jodie is planning to move to New York city to study Journalism leaving her family and friends. Being a PK (Pastor Kid) she has had to say goodbye to too many people, so she is going before she has to say goodbye again. Brandon is rebuilding a relationship with his father and is growing more and more fond of Jodie. I would love to tell you more, but you have to read the book. There are a lot of twists and turns, and we see God’s hand in what happens.
One thing I do have to say is I love that there is an orphan Squirrel in this book. He is a character and needed a little more airtime. While reading this book, it reminded of Penny Zeller’s style of writing. The faith element is similar the only difference this is a contemporary and Penny writes mainly Historical. If you enjoy Penny Zellers books I encourage you to give this book a go.
This is one book I did not want to put down and didn’t want it to end. I eagerly await the next book by Jenny Glazebrook. Tissue alert: I don’t cry a lot in books but at least two times I felt what the characters were feeling and was crying with them.
Hi Jenny, Thanks for sharing your lovely review of In Truth and Love. 🙂 I’m looking forward to finding the time to read the final version of Jenny’s book because it will provide some important back story for when I eventually write my second book in the Trinity Lakes Romance series (Becky’s story).
