A search for three abducted teens—
and a K-9 on the case.

She calls the one person she knows she can trust, her late husband’s best friend, former DEA agent Michael Lane. Together with his search-and-rescue K-9, they must track the boys and figure out who took them—and why. Only, the Indiana wilderness is full of dangers beyond their abductor. My Review:
Thanks to the publisher for my review copy.
This book had me hooked from the beginning. It is action packed, and I didn’t want to stop reading.
The book starts with Tori camping with her son Joey and his two friends Andrew and Kurt. It’s a fun scene and we learn Tori doesn’t like camping but will do anything for Joey. They settle for the night when drama hits off. Someone is trying to hurt them, and the boys are missing. Michael was in the army with her late husband and has a search and rescue dog Ducky. Tori gets a message to him, and he comes to find them. This is where the story starts with the searching and danger finding the boys.
Both Tori and Michael have issues from their past. Tori portraying a strong exterior and not letting others in. Michael dealing with some medical issues and feelings of not being worthy. Ducky is more than a search and rescue dog he is very much a support dog. It shows how often what we see on the outside is not what a person is thinking on the inside.
The story is fast paced with the constant threat of danger while trying to find the boys. I will definitely be reading more by this author.
