Book Review:

Thanks to Netgalley for my review copy.

WOW what can I say. I started this book last night around 9.30pm thinking I will just read a few chapters. That was the idea at 2am I had finished the book. I haven’t read a book in one sitting for around 13 years. But I could not put this book down. Right from the start I was hooked.

The book starts with the heroine Tracey being transferred in a prison van. She’s convicted of a crime she didn’t commit. She is ambushed by the ones who framed her and want her dead and flees into the Wyoming Wilderness. Meanwhile the hero Callum is living in an isolated cabin with his 2-and-a-half-year-old son Brody and huge dog Bo. This is where they meet and find they have a common enemy.

They find themselves in a fight for survival trying to outrun the bad guys wanting them dead. Bo is a big dog and Tracey is very unsure and scared of him. I could fully understand how she felt as I have the same fear. Bo is very protective of Brody and his family.

We also have another star of the book in a Bear which Tracey names. The bear features several times and is quite scary but I secretly did feel for him. Bo and Brody also bring some light moments to the book. This book is full of suspense and danger and as mentioned is a page turner. There is also a faith element which fits with the characters.

If you like suspense with danger round every corner with a strong story line I would recommend this book. It’s the first book I have read by this author and won’t be my last. Although next time I will start earlier in the day.
