Fiction Friday | Book Review Love Most Certain by Penny Zeller

Today I am reviewing Penny Zeller’s latest release.

Book Description:

Can newfound love heal a broken heart?

Genevieve Amsel is recovering from a canceled engagement when her dear friend, Tillie, invites her to move to Ellis Creek for a fresh start. While she settles into life in the friendly Montana town, one thing is for certain—Genevieve will never fall in love again, no matter what marriage prospects come her way.

Becoming the new postmaster in Ellis Creek is not for the faint of heart. Attempting to do his best to replace the popular Mr. Norman who recently retired, Oliver Bessell relocates from Bozeman and attempts to win the hearts of Ellis Creek residents, especially one in particular. Can he prove to Genevieve he’s nothing like the man who broke her heart?

Soon Oliver makes it his mission to encourage and brighten Genevieve’s day by leaving her notes at the breakfast table at the boarding house where they both reside. And when a mysterious letter arrives at the post office, will the solving of the puzzle draw him and Genevieve closer?

Return to Ellis Creek for another glimpse into the lives of characters you’ve come to love along with a few newcomers in this tender and lighthearted romance filled with faith and humor by best-selling author Penny Zeller.

My Review:

Another good book by Penny Zeller. This is the third novella in the Love Letters from Ellis Creek series. I enjoyed going back to Ellis Creek and seeing some familiar characters and new ones. Genevieve and Oliver are the Heroine and Hero of this series. Genevieve has moved to Ellis Creek after a broken engagement She is now the local school teacher and was friends will Tilly who featured in book 2. She has vowed to never fall in love again. Oliver is the new post master and also new to the town.

We are reintroduced to Lulu who is friends with Tilly and now Genevieve and for the price of jawbreakers has ideas of how Oliver can woo Genevieve. She is now living in the boarding how as is Oliver and a few other characters. One being Mrs. Crabtree who lives up to her name. She is older and quite cantankerous and is in interesting character.

I love the interaction between the characters and how the story evolves. Oliver has to win over the locals who loved their old postmaster and Genevieve needs to heal and decide if she can let her heart love again.

I found this to be an easy read that flowed well. I am looking forward to Molly and Gideon’s story next. If you are looking for a quick fun read which will have you wanting to try jawbreakers. Although I am not sure what have the same ones to buy now.

You can read my review of Book Two: Love Unforeseen Here.
