Today for Fiction Friday I’m sharing my book recommendation for Fiancé Finale, an excellent romcom novel by Angela Ruth Strong that released this week.

Here’s the Book Description:
Charlie Newberg is sure about one thing: Nicole Lemaire is the woman God wants him to marry. There’s a slight problem, though—he’s already left her once. The day before their wedding. To make a documentary.
But he’s got a plan. The marketing firm she works for is the ideal choice for promoting his new film. Collaborating will give him the perfect chance to propose again, so he conspires with her boss to make sure she runs the campaign for the same kind of documentary Charlie left her—basically at the altar—for.
Despite Nicole’s resistance, the two work well together. But Charlie’s going to need more than teamwork to convince the jilted bride to give him a second chance. In fact, he might need to fall in love in a way he’s never really understood.
Narelle’s Thoughts:
I enjoyed reading Fiancé Finale, the third and final book in Angela Ruth Strong’s Love Off Script series. It’s now my fave in the series and there’s so much to love about this romcom that’s set in Portland, Oregon.
Charlie is an adorable hero who is clueless at times. His literal interpretation of everything creates funny, sweet, and poignant moments. He’s an award winning documentary filmmaker who travels the world seeking out the stories that need to be told.
Nicole is Charlie’s jilted bride who struggled with his decision to prioritise his work over their relationship. At the start of the story, Nicole is gobsmacked when she discovers that Charlie thinks God wants them to marry. She loses a major client due to a scandal and her boss insists she work with Charlie on promoting his upcoming documentary premiere.
Nicole’s family of origin has negatively impacted her views on God and faith. I appreciated how her faith journey was unpacked in the story. The romcom story elements are awesome and LOL funny. I was cheering for Charlie and Nicole to overcome their issues and finally have their own happily-ever-after.
It was fun seeing Meri and Kai (from Husband Auditions) plus Gemma and Karson (from Hero Debut) and finding out what’s happening with them. I recommend Fiancé Finale to contemporary romance readers who like second chances romcoms with depth that explore faith issues in the story.
Many thanks to Kregel for the advanced reader copy.
