“Reading this book made me feel like I was back in Rodenia. I could imagine myself in the story. I loved every bit of it!”

My Review
I enjoyed the first book and have been eagerly awaiting for this book to come out. This time Katie is now in London with her father and again enters Rodenia this time the Land of Flowers. She arrives as Princess Elise is missing with her wedding to Henry due to take place. Along with with a couple of fairies Katie has to find Princess Elise before it’s too late and a war between the Red roses and other flowers take place.
I love the adventure of this book. We see how fear can paralyse but keeping going while scared can be beneficial. There is one sport where Katie lets fear over take her and it reminded me of Peter. He was keeping his eyes on Jesus and walking on water when he looked down he was afraid and started to drown. While children may not have the same thoughts I am sure many adults will.
The book is aimed at middle school children and I am sure they will enjoy this book and the whole series. It has feelings of Narnia but for a slightly younger child. This is the sort of book I loved as a child and I still love reading these books. Book three comes out next year and I am looking forward to it.
Oh I almost forgot for an Australian seeing some of the words used (and explained) was fun. Words like cuppa for a cup of tea are words I use all the time. If you have a Primary/Middle school child I would recommend this book and series. It would be great to read together one chapter a night.
