Feel like you want to give up on your writing? Don’t think you’re good enough? Well, I hope by the end of this blog post you’ll be encouraged and inspired to keep going!
Crystal Paine once said,“You are enough exactly as you are. The world needs your gift and the world needs your story.” We can believe the lie from the enemy that our stories aren’t good enough or we can believe what God says about us. God didn’t make a mistake when He gifted you with the ability to write. Not once has He regretted His decision to put in you a passion for words, my friend. The world needs your story and if you’re passionate enough to pursue your dream then you’ll have the privilege to change someone’s thinking or direction in their life for the better.
THE WORLD NEEDS YOUR STORY
We tend to look at people’s highlight reel rather than the lows of their journey they had to go through to become a successful author. God isn’t mad at you for wanting to be successful. In fact, He loves your ambition to achieve something for His glory. And that’s the key to real success. We write for HIS GLORY, not our own glory.
Your gift of writing is for His glory and God has given you this gift for a reason. Your wordsmith talents are to help other people discover who God is and to show them their true identity in Christ.
THE WORLD NEEDS YOUR STORY
Jesus told earthly stories that had a heavenly purpose to help people see what the kingdom God was truly like. He started each parable with, “The kingdom of heaven is like this…” You may start your story different but someone somewhere needs to hear it. Stories have the power to change the way people think and Jesus knew the power of words.
So, dear writer, you need to sit down and write one word in front of the other because the world needs your story and it’s desperately waiting to read it!

Wonderful encouragement, Wendy. Thank you!
You are so welcome, Cindy! Xx
Thanks Wendy I read your blog on my lunch break today and it gave me a lift! A great reminder of why God’s wired me, us, to write.
That’s great, Carmen! Yes, we all need a little reminder now and again to stop the self doubt and questioning of why we write. Thanks for reading.
