Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Have you ever read a series of novels from start to finish?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.
Let’s chat!
I am not sure if this means at one time or just having read a whole series. The answer is yes. Recently I did binge a couple of mystery series. I also did this early on with a couple of other series. Now I normally read as the books come out and have read a lot of series. The ones I tend to not finish are multi author ones. Especially where they write the same characters as the change is often noticeable. Also so where its a location and some are more stand alone. I will normally make it through the 4 or 5 but then often drop off. Not all but often. I read over 30+ of Gilbert Morris’ House of Winslow series. I have the remaining books but just haven’t finished them.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.
Hi Jenny, I had to think on this one because I prefer to read complete series. One series I binge read at least two or three times is Dee Henderson’s O’Malley series. The paperbacks are on my keeper shelf, even though I haven’t read them in over a decade. 😊
I have binged a couple but often I tend to fall off before the end depending on the author and distance between books.
