She always wore red by Angela Hunt has a female character who is an embalmer’s apprentice. It is book 2 I always intended to read book 1. I did enjoy this book and it was a different profession.

Cartographer – it’s not every day you read books about someone who draws maps for a living.
I can’t remember which book at the moment, though I think it was set during one of the world wars.
That does sound fun. I remember one of Susan Page Davis Books the Crimson Cypher has a heroine who cracks cyphers (I bet it has a name I cant think of)
