Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
If you could have a meal with 3 living authors, who would you choose and why?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.
Let’s chat!
I used to have an easy answer now it’s much harder, but I would choose Robin Jones Gunn as I love her books especially the Sisterchick type novels. Penny Zeller as I have become good friends with her and would love to meet her. The 3rd there are so many. I would love to meet Jenny Glazebrook as I think we have a lot in common. It would be an interesting meal.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

Irene Hannon, Robin Jones Gunn and … I’m not sure about who I would choose for the 3rd person.
Thanks for commenting I guessed the first 2 you mentioned. its not easy. I always use to say Gilbert Morris but he is no longer with us. Actually just thinking Janette Oke would be interesting as it was her books that got me back into reading.
I’d choose Francine Rivers, because, well, it’s Francine Rivers! Award-winning, American Christian Romance Writer, who knows how to put together a story that draws you in right from the start.
Steve Laube would be an excellent dinner guest with a wealth of experience and information to share about all things marketing. He’s written countless books on this subject and has supported so many authors to publication. What doesn’t he know about marketing?
Lastly, Max Lucado, because of his pastoral ability to create a story that appeals across the generations. So many of us have a limited audience for our writing, but Max’s books transcend the age boundaries and I’d love to understand how his creative brain works!
Sounds like an interesting dinner party thanks for commenting
I am sorry that I’m late to answering this question but I had to think on it.
I’d pick Nora Roberts because she writes one of my favorite series under her pen name JD Robb, the In Death Series. I’d also pick James Patterson because he was one my late mom’s favorite authors and I’d like to thank him for all the joy he brought to her. Finally Austin Dragon, he writes one of my favorite Syfy series, Liquid Cool, it’s about a private investigator in the far future.
Thanks for commenting Cindi will need to check out these series. and Love the reason for James Patterson.
