Tuesday Book Chat | 16 July 2024

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.

This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

What’s the best novel you’ve read based on a true story?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

This is a tough one as there are so many based on a true story. I am not sure I have a favourite as its like saying name your favourite cat or child. Every one has a place and is special. I will however mention the last one I read. Until our Time comes by Nicole M. Miller which is set in WW2 and in Poland about some famous Arabian horses. It tells the story of these horses and the trying to save the blood line and famous horse stud.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

  1. Hi Jenny, This is a really hard question! I have Nicole’s book on my tbr wish list. Quite a few books come to mind. ‘A Stray Drop of Blood’ by Roseanna M. White is an excellent historical fiction novel that focuses on Jesus’ death and resurrection. Francine Rivers’ Biblical era fiction books are excellent. ‘A Lineage of Grace’ includes stories based on Tamar, Rahab, Ruth, Bathsheba and Mary. 🙂
