Tuesday Book Chat | 17 December 2024

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.

This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

What were your top five (or ten) books for 2024?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

This is a really tough question. Tea with Elephants by Robin Jones Gunn, In Truth and Love by Jenny Glazebrook, are a couple of my favourites. I have to add Penny Zeller hard to pic a favourite, Nicole M Miller to name a few. I find it really hard to pick favourites.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

  1. My top books include some non-fiction, so for here I’ll just mention the fiction (also limiting it to just Christian books). They all got a 5-star rating from me on Goodreads. These are in the order I read them:
    * The Letter Tree by Rachel Fordham
    * Undetected by Dee Henderson (an oldie that I have read many times)
    * The Foxhole Victory Tour by Amy Lynn Green
    * Sandcastle Inn by Irene Hannon
    * Lion of Babylon by Davis Bunn
    * Waiting for Christmas by Lynn Austin
Couldn’t keep it to just 5! And there could even be a couple more additions to the list since there is still 2 weeks of reading left for this year!

    1. Sounds good Beth. I struggle to have top reads. or to remember oh right that is going to be a top read. I think I said that about Dani Pettrey’s book and I did love it.

  2. Beyond The Mist – Casi McLean
One Wrong Word – Hank Phillippi Ryan
    Deadly Sommer – Nicholas Harvey
Daylight & Darkness – Lashell Collins
The Last Girl Left – A.M. Strong & Sonya Sargent

I read over 200 books this year, so it wasn’t easy to pick out favorites. These were a few that stood out when I started reading through the titles for the year.

    Happy Holidays 🎄
