Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
Welcome sequences for newsletters yes or no?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.
Let’s chat!
That’s a hard NO for me. I find them annoying. What is said in several emails could often be said in one email. It’s even worse after a contest when I get inundated with newsletters. One welcome newsletter saying who the author is, what they write, what to expect and how often is enough. I rarely will wait out a welcome sequence.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

I don’t really see the point in there being so many either when it could just be said in one.
Thanks for commenting. I so agree. Its like reading a serial novel where its broken up mini chapters. I would love to know if the so called experts actually surveyed readers. or if they are going on what works for other types of marketing. Even most other advertising that is to frequent I have also ditched besides the supermarket.
Simple answer, no. 😂
yep that was my simple answer. I haven’t seen many who do like them.
No, I rather read a complete book.
I agree.
