I am not sure it has inspired a new hobby but I did remember a few of the early Christmas novellas often had a pattern for a decoration. Thinking back I am fairly sure I tried one or two of them.

I don’t think reading has actually gotten me to try a new hobby. I might think some things are interesting, but I don’t try them.
I agree. I think I may have at times or looked into something but not sure I have done one.
Not from a novel, but I have from craft books.
