Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
Did you achieve your 2025 reading challenge?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.
Let’s chat!
Yes I changed it several times and by the end of the year I will be on 55 books. I just need one more which will happen. This is the most for many years.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

I did … yesterday! Made it to 150! And then today I finished number 151. I don’t change the goal, just have every book after it as a bonus.
I saw you had reached your goal. I thought I would have read a few more this month but with all thats happened I have lost reading time and been to tired to want to read.
I wanted to knock down my eBook TBR pile, so no…
I made a dent but that’s it.
Thats a start you know those books you don’t need to read next time. its the ones added that become an issue right. I set my goal low knowing how health affects reading I would rather raise it several times than feel deflated at the end of the year.
Yes I did, my goal was 175 books and I have passed it to 190 so far. I have 3 that I am reading on different devices right now, I might finish them before Thursday.
Wow you have done really well.
I’ve had my worst year in a long time in terms of complete books read. But if I could count all the books I have on the go, I’d be romping in. Maybe there’ll be a big surge of completions in the New Year. I only met my Goodreads goal by changing it downwards a couple of times so that I still had a record to keep.
But I’ve been reading a chronological Bible all year, which I should finish about March, and that’s been a big read. I also tend to read a lot of magazine articles, blog posts and (dare I say) retro comic books, which I don’t count in the figures unless it’s a full graphic novel. So I still do a lot of reading, just not as many books this year.
I can understand that. I normally start low cos I had years where 10 in the year was a miricle. thankfully I can read more but because I had to move the botox for migraines and Occipital Neuralgia out out to almost 11 months instead of 6 and a half I am finding the pain is affecting me and reading may slow down for the next 2 months. (had to change due to shingles and then not being able to handle travel that long and hes always booked out 3 months ahead). I am going for 48 next year which if I can read 4 a month I can get.
Hi Jenny, I’m late commenting because I worked out I’d missed adding 13 books to Goodreads. My 2025 total is 49, one book short of my 50 book goal. I’m starting book #50 tonight. 😊
You can do it. but don’t forget the cricket tonight.
Oh, I just checked the schedule! Cricket wins, lol. 😊
