Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
Do you have a favourite snack or drink when reading?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.

I don’t usually snack when reading. If I drink, it would be coke, iced tea, or water, just what I’ma drinking at the time. However, I’ma usually too into the book to do anything else.
Thanks for commenting Joannie, I’m like you. As I tend to read in the lounge room often have the tv on its what ever I may be drinking or eating. I now have a water bottle by my chair as I need to drink more water so will sip. but I also read on the computer so that makes it easier to.
Always coffee for me 🙂
Thanks for stopping by and sharing your drink of choice
I confess … I read while eating! I have a book with me at breakfast and often at lunch when I need to zone out at work. If I need both hands to eat, I’ll prop the book open with something – not great for the spine – and shift the prop to the next page when I’m ready. I guess this would be easier with an eBook, but I only read print books.
Sounds good. you still need 2 hands at times with an ebook. I tend to read on the computer. were I just need the mouse.
I read throughout the day, so I always have my water by my side. I don’t do a lot of snacking just because I’m reading or is be big as a house! But I do like pretzels.
I understand what you are saying. I am now keeping water near me must drink more. Thanks for commenting
Hi Jenny, I like sipping a cup of tea when I’m reading. I drink different types of tea depending on my mood and the weather. 😊
Sounds interesting. Did you drink something special when reading Tea with Elephants?
Yes! Twinings English Breakfast and Lady Grey Tea. Plus Green Tea. 😊
