Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
Have you ever been to a book launch?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.
Let’s chat!
Yes many years ago Susanne Timpani came to my town with Anne Hamilton and had a book launch at the local bookshop. She launched Twice Stolen. It was exciting for our bookshop (Truevine Bookshop) and we have a room full. I use to volunteer here. Previously I had been to book signings but this was my first book launch.

Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

I don’t really get out because of my health, so no I haven’t been to a book launch or anything like it, not even a book signing. I have only been to things online, but even then, I usually catch it late and sometimes have to watch the replays.
I understand about the online ones. I have been to a few but often with the time difference miss a lot of it or there is so much happening I can’t keep up. We don’t have many book launches here this one just happened to happen. The library also have author events which are fun here but not fun if you can’t go due to health issues.
I also don’t go to in person book launches because of my health, I’m won’t own a car because I’m not allowed to drive.
But I have been helping many authors with their online book launches for over a decade. I figure if I can’t go I can help.
That counts. We don’t have many here in my town so this was something special. but I also don’t get to the city much due to health.
