Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
Do you read more in different seasons?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.
Let’s chat!
I probably read more in winter. In the heat of summer its harder to read as I tend to be tired when Its hard to sleep. In reality if I look at my history for the past few years different years would show different answers. I do know last year I read way more in winter partly due to the Winter Olympics.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

Jenny, were you reading instead of watching the winter olympics because the books were more interesting? :o)
I looked back to what I did last year and discovered I read more in January, June and September. Not sure what that means! Except that in September I had a little holiday in Qld just after the Omega Conference and read three books over a few days.
For me it’s more about how relaxed I am and how much time I have to read I guess. I do read most nights before bed.
It was the summer Olympics last year. Its more that with the time zone a lot of the sports are at times we don’t always see what we want. Then you get replays of replays or replays. we saw a lot of the swimming heats so when Aussies weren’t in them I would read. or when it was sports I wasn’t interested in (Basketball, a lot of the athletics etc) I would read. I was reading some really easy reading books. I can have weeks and even months I don’t read and times I read a lot. as a child Summer I read more and holidays. but then things changed. Sometimes I am to exhausted at night and i can lose motivation.
I’ve been reading more in summer because the kids are home, and I can’t write as well with them around. So, I get more reading done when they are on holidays. 🙂
