Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
What’s the best Christian Novel you have ever read?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.
Let’s chat!
This is like asking which is my favourite cat I have ever owned. All were special in there own way and for different reasons. Janette Oke’s first book in the When Calls the Heart is special because it got me back into reading. The Time Rift by David and Liwen Ho is a favourite in the Sci Fi category because I still think about the concept. Sincerely Mayla by Virginia Smith because it has a side character that gave me hope for a situation I was in. Robin Jones Gunn’s Sisterchick books especially Sisterchicks do the Hula made me fall in love with Hawaii and have to visit. There are so many others. I cannot pick just one.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.
I’m with you, Jenny, it’s too hard to pick just one.
Robin Jones Gunn’s Sisterchicks series are books I return to over and over again.
I’m looking forward to reading the new book she has coming out this year in her new Suitcase Sisters series.
Hi Beth i’m looking forward to this series too. sounds interesting.
Hi Jenny, This is a hard question to answer. The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe by C. S. Lewis is the first Christian novel I read and loved when I was younger. I was the child who was disappointed that my wardrobe wouldn’t transport me to faraway lands, lol. 😊
