Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
Does your church have a library, and do you use it?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.
Let’s chat!
Yes our church does. I was the one who set it up as I had so many books and wanted to share. There was also a need and others have enjoyed the books. I however don’t borrow the books as I have basically read most of the fiction books. A lot of the non-fiction also came from mum’s personal library. It is used by members and people who come to our friendship centre.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

My current church doesn’t, but the one I went to when I was at Uni did. That was great for me because I was on a really tight budget and couldn’t afford to purchase books, so I had a pretty good range of Christian fiction in the church library to choose from.
That was handy. I know one of the other churches has a library but I think there is more non fiction.
Yes, our church has a church library and I have used it from time to time if I am looking for a particular book. However I still have a lot of books here that I haven’t read mainly because my dad was a great reader and so was Bob and I still have quite a few books here that I haven’t read. However, I have donated quite a few books to this church library and also to the library of our previous church, especially when we were packing to move. I was a teacher librarian at two different schools where I taught so have had a love of books from my early years.
Sounds good Heather, I donated a lot partly due to space. Started donating to the town Library, then the Uniting Church Library when it started then we set up ours. I do have a lot of books I am donating to a Chrisitan second hand shop when they can pick them up.
My church I went too years ago did have a library have a Blessed Week
