Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Do the hero and heroine in a christian romance both have to be Christians?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.
Let’s chat!
The short answer is no. To elaborate I would expect at least one to be a Christian. I would however expect both to be by the end of the book or on the way to becoming a Christian. I don’t think you could end a book without a conversion unless its part of a series where they are on a journey.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.
Not at the start 🙂
I agree at the start they don’t have to be but you would hope by the end they are.
No, but generally I prefer them both to be.
I agree.
I agree with you Jenny. They don’t have to be at the start, but should be by the end.
I recently didn’t keep a book because by the end it didn’t seem like one of the major characters had become a Christian and yet they were getting married.
Thanks Beth, That is disappointing for them to be getting married without becoming a Christian.
