Tuesday Book Chat | Do You Have A Favourite “I Couldn’t Put This Down” Book?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

Do You Have A Favourite “I Couldn’t Put This Down” Book?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

I have had several but don’t always remember the names. One that does sick in my brain is Zero Viability by Sharon Dunn. It is a Love Inspired Suspense and I started it one night and at 2am in the morning I finished it. I have had other that I didn’t want to put down but none that stick in my memory as much as this one which I read over 12 and a half years ago and still remember the storyline.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.

  1. Undetected by Dee Henderson
I’ve read it quite a few times now and have both a physical copy and the audio book.
Even though I know how it ends, each time I read it I struggle to put it down.

    1. I felt that way about the first book I read by Dee “The Negotiator”.

  2. Tricky question. Starting with children’s books I’ve read the Narnia series over and over, also Enid Blyton’s Faraway Tree and Wishing Chair books. Oh how wonderful they are! (Must read them again).

In the past I’ve read most of Jane Austin’s multiple times (I won’t mention Mr You-Know-Who!) :oD – but I don’t like the style anymore.

One I’ve read twice, loved both times and am planning on reading again soon is: “Crossing the Lines” (also known as “After She Wrote Him”) by Sulari Gentill.

Also all poetry books by Mary Oliver. Once I start reading her poems I just can’t put them down.

    1. As I child I did too. I loved the Magic Faraway series. and I Loved Mr Gilliano’s Circus and the Naughtest girl in school books. I loved the Narnia series too. I had other books I read over and over as a teen too.
Its interesting as a teen and child I read books over and over but not so much as an adult. It could be that I have way to many to read.

      1. Oh yes, the Naughtiest Girl in School. I loved those books!

I have way too many to read too. I just thought of another one I’d like to re-read though – The Midnight Library by Matt Haig.

  3. I can’t choose one. I had trouble putting Carolyn’s ‘The Break up Project” down. Pretty much anything by Karen Witemeyer (“To Win Her Heart” is one of my favourites) and Kristi Ann Hunter (“Enchanting the Heiress” comes to mind). But I have a problem with going to bed when I don’t know how a book ends, so I tend to keep reading until the end if the book is suspense or a really good romance with lots of tension.
