Welcome to the Australasian Christian Writers Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Do you know any Christian books that feature more exotic animals as pets?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.
Let’s chat!
Carla Capshaw’s series for Love Inspired Historical set in early Roman Times has a couple different big cats in different books. Cat is in The Gladiator and is a Tiger. He steals many scenes and is a pet and many readers also wanted him to be their pet. I am sure there are other books which I hope readers will let me know about.
Your turn.

I know there’s one with a pet snake called Brutus. I think it was in a novella collection, but I can’t remember who wrote it or what the title was. The lady was a children’s book author and the man a doctor. It was his son Theo who had the snake. I wish I could remember what it was called.
maybe someone will remember the name. Its interesting how different animals stick in our mind
