Tuesday Book Chat | Do You Subscribe to Kindle Unlimited or Another Reader Subscription Service?

Welcome to the Australasian Christian Writers Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

Do you subscribe to kindle unlimited or another reader subscription service?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

I don’t subscribe to any services now and I didn’t know that Kindle Unlimited was in Australia. However I use to subscribe to a book series. It was a cosy mysteries from Barbour and I would get 4 books either a month I think.

Your turn.

  1. I did the free trial of Kindle Unlimited and read a few books during the trial. It was good, but we subscribe to so many things, I felt I couldn’t justify subscribing to something else. I also borrow books from the library, and I prefer print if I’m reading a nonfiction book that I’ll need to refer back to (like a writing craft book). So I wasn’t sure that I would read enough Kindle books each month for it to be worthwhile for me. But it was good and I might do it again. It’s great if you read a lot or want to listen to audiobooks on a commute.

    1. Thanks for the comment. I didn’t know they did audiobooks. I don’t read enough to justify a trial right now. I also like to keep books and not sure you can with KU

      1. Jenny, you only have the books for a limited time and then they disappear. So it’s like a library. It’s best to just download them when you’re ready to read them.

  2. No subscriptions for me. I don’t read eBooks, so not much point to do that.

    1. Hi Beth, There are print book subscriptions although to Australia they cost a lot now. The one I was on was Barbours cozy mystery and I use to get 4 books sent at a time. They also had a newsletter with a short story in each one. I still have those newsletters.
