Tuesday Book Chat | Have You a Reading Goal For 2023?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

Have you a reading goal for 2023?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

At this stage I have set 20 books for the Goodreads reading challenge. I like to go smaller then add to it as I reach it. If I start with say 50 and only get to 25 I feel like I failed. I know early this year I have dental surgery and until then and while recovering and will not read much. My hope is the removal of the tooth will ease some of the other pain. But I am happy to have 20 and then add to it. I would like to try to read 5 new to me authors this year also.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.

  1. My goal this year is to read all my books before I buy any more! 🤣

  2. My Goodreads goal is 130 books for this year.
I read 153 last year, so this should be doable, though I will be studying this year, so I may not have as much reading time.

    1. That’s a fantastic number! One for each fish caught in John 21! 😊

  3. My goal is to search out and read some of the Nobel Prize for Literature authors to hone my craft. I started with John Steinbeck – East of Eden. His description are so economical with words but so evocative. His character development amazing. I found some quote that set me thinking such as this one: “An unbelieved truth can hurt a man much more than a lie. It takes great courage to back truth unacceptable in our time.” Wow! Thank you for this challenge!
