Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Have you read any books featuring teachers or educational locations?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.
Let’s chat!
I have read a few one being The Schoolmasters Bride by Meredith Resce. Its set in the Great Depression in Country South Australia. I did enjoy this book. I have read other books also featuring teachers. There are two series of children’s books that feature boarding schools. The first is The Naughtiest Girl in School series by Enid Blyton and the second The Narnia series by C. S. Lewis. Both were books I read over and over.
Your turn.

Thanks, Jenny. The Schoolmaster’s Bride and the Schoolmaster’s Daughter both set in a country school, Depression era. Of course Anne of Green Gables has a little school as it’s focus as well. No one can forget Gilbert teasing Anne about her hair and getting bashed on the head with a slate as a reward. 🙂
Yes I remember about Anne and Gilbert and how she wouldn’t forgive him for years and missed out on a good friendship.
