Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Have you read more or less books planned in 2021?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.
Let’s chat!
I didn’t set a target for this year but have read more already than last year. Hopefully will read several more.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.
And don’t forget: if you’d like to participate in our weekly Book Chat by posting the question and your answer on your blog, drop us an email via our Contact page and we’ll send you the list of questions for 2021.
I’ve read less books than last year but am finding myself re-reading some of my favourite books while I wait for some books to be released. I am hoping to find some more new authors and read more this year though.
Sounds good.
I’m ahead of my target (thanks to Goodreads for helping me keep track). My reading rate has slowed a little over the past month, but there have been so many things going on at work that I often come home too tired to read much.
This may change with school holidays for the next 2 weeks.
My TBR pile exploded recently, so I should have no problem making my goal with the books I have on hand.
being ahead is always good which allows for times when life happens.
I’ve read fewer than I expected so far this year. I’m far enough behind on some publishing activities not directly related to getting story on paper (or screen, as it were) that I don’t expect that to change soon.
But I keep adding e-books to my TBR directory and print to my TBR pile. I figure at some point, I’ll get efficient enough with all the marketing related activities that I’ll get more of them read. (Hear the maniacal laughter?)
yep I keep adding to the tbr (or should I say to my collection).
I have read more books because with lockdowns I have had more time at home. I love biographies and sometimes one book leads to another if people appear in another’s story. I also enjoy historical novels and books based on understanding the background to books in the Bible; for example I have just been reading “Agents of Babylon” by David Jeremiah as we weee studying Daniel in our KYB group.
Thats right you have had a few haven’t you. I am way behind right now.
