At this stage no. I will set it low at around 12 but hopefully will raise it at some stage.

Your turn.

  1. I just want to be able to know how many I read during the year so I have started a book log. Last year I know I read a huge number and I would have like to have known how many. This year, I decided that I would write a brief reflection on each book as I go. After two days I have already had to adapt my reading goal to include recording books that I started but have chosen not to finish, and to also reflect on the why I didn’t finish them. I always told students it was ok to abandon a book if you felt uncomfortable or it just wasn’t working, so I am taking my own advice! Really looking forward to thinking a little deeper about what I read this year, and include a range of genre.

    1. Thanks for stopping by. I like you having a note why you stop a book. I know I have books I stop reading too it doesn’t happen a lot but life is too short to read things that you are not enjoying or have an issue or something that makes you uncomfortable. (I know around the time mum passed away I started reading a couple of books dealing with someone dying I just couldn’t read them at that time).

  2. I have a strange reading goal I think. I want to allow myself to enjoy reading fiction books to my hearts content without feeling guilty for not picking up some non-fiction book instead.

    1. Sounds good. Reading is a good way to relax. The non-fiction not as much with many.

  3. For the past few years I’ve set a goal on Goodreads, since that’s where I record what books I read.
Last year I ended up reading 155 books, but I’m sticking with my goal of 120.

    1. Sounds like a good plan. I have a few books I want to read just haven’t gotten that far but with the cricket on tomorrow probably will get to one.

  4. Hi Jenny, My goal is a minimum of 50 books (this includes re-reading) and to post a weekly book recommendation for these books on my blog. I’m also planning to tackle my TBR list and read more books than I add to it, lol. 😊
