Tuesday Book Chat | How Big Is Your To-Read Pile?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

How big is your to-read pile?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

How long is a piece of string? Lets put it this way my to-read pile would probably take 40 years to read! In fact maybe longer as I average around 30 – 40 years on a good year and on the kindle along I have over 700 unread. Not to mention the ones in my bookcase.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.

  1. The TBR problem is even worse when you’re writing as well as reading. I average fewer than one a week read when in full-on writing mode. Plus I like longer novels more than novellas, so very few things in my TBR pile have fewer than 80K words and many have over 100K.

    1. I figure at least I have choice. I still haven’t read anything this year. Too much offline situations. Currently as secretary of the local hospital auxiliary we are currently handling a situation (I am doing the writing) This has taken up a lot of the past week.
But I know what I want to read. Thats a start right.

  2. I had whittled my list down to a handful. Then my husband asked if I’d like to visit a second hand Christian bookstore for my birthday, then he took me to Koorong for Christmas. The size of my current TBR pile is totally his fault. 😉
