Tuesday Book Chat | What Books Have You Read That Are Unforgettable?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

What books have you read that are unforgettable?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

I remember reading Zero Visibility by Sharon Dunn, I started it late at night thinking I would read one or two chapters. 2am, I finished it. I can still remember the book. It was set in winter and I was reading it on a cold winters night. I still remember the book and story.

Janette Oke’s When Calls The Heart series is another unforgettable series and the one that got me back into reading. There have been many others.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

  1. I loved Karen Witemeyer’s middle years books. Not so much the first ones, or the latest ones, but many of her middle years have stuck with me.

And Amy Lynn Green’s first two books come to mind as well.

    1. sounds good. We all will have different ones that stand out for different reasons.

  2. Robin Jones Gunn’s Sisterchicks series, Dee Henderson’s Undetected. Though I’m not sure if that’s because I’ve read them all multiple times, or just they stick in my mind.

Dienece, I’m with you for Amy Lynn Green’s books. Her first one was so interesting in the way she told the story through letters and newspaper articles. I also like her 3rd book – The Blackout Book Club.

    1. I know! That first book by Amy was such a surprise. I had my doubts about enjoying a book all written through correspondence and newspapers, but it was so interesting and well done. Plus, to somehow include a small thread of romance as well, I am in awe. Must have taken her an age!

  3. I agree on the Sisterchicks books. After Sisterchicks do the Hula I said to mum I have to go to Hawaii (she wasn’t so agreeable but It didn’t deter me).
I have only read Amy Lynn Greens last book which I really enjoyed.
I would add Gilbert Morris’s series on the civil war too.
