Gilbert Morris. I have given a few of his books away to the church library but still have several series. Two series I couldn’t part with are The House of Winslow Series and The Appomattox Saga. Both are series I couldn’t put down.

Your turn.

  1. I think I’d have to say Dorothy Sayers and her Lord Peter Wimsey books, closely followed by another old author, Elizabeth Goudge, closely followed by books by Madeleine L’Engle. But then I’m old!

  2. C. S. Lewis then Naomi Reed. Or would Tolkien count? If you include my son’s books, I think we have in our house everything he ever published.

  3. Hmm … it’s a toss up! I think it’s probably Robin Jones Gunn!! It would be more from her if I had all the Christy Miller and Sierra Jensen series as individual books rather than combined volumes.
Runners up: Irene Hannon, Lori Wick, Janette Oke and Melody Carlson. Followed by Janice Thompson, Rachel Hauck, Mindy Starns Clark, Cathy Marie Hake and Dee Henderson.

Okay! I confess. When I love an author I buy ALL their books!! (Although I don’t have any of Melody Carlson’s teen books.) I even have the non-fiction ones written by Robin Jones Gunn and Janice Thompson (also writes as Janice Hana), plus Robin’s kids books.

Jenny, I only made it to book 25 of the Winslow series before I gave up. Also, I was only borrowing them from the library and couldn’t get any more. What number did it actually get up to?

  4. I confess I haven’t read them all just found out there are 40 of them I got to number 29 I think. I have them all and will get back to them.
I have a lot of Janette Oke, Robin Jones Gunn too. I have a lot of Mary Connealy also. I have started donating to the Church Library and giving some away.

  5. The winner on my shelf is Jenny Glazebrook. The winner on the kids shelf is CS Lewis

  6. Over the years I’ve had so many books I’ve lost count. I had most of Dee Henderson’s books at one stage, and donated them to our church library when we downsized our house.

Now I have all of Caroline Miller’s books, very carefully packed away so when we finish our nomadic lifestyle they can take pride of place on my bookshelves. But I think they will be re-read a few times between now and then!
