Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Do you have a book buying budget? If so, do you stick to it?

Let’s chat!
I use to have a bit of a budget for when I went to the city and normally overspent. Now I don’t get to the city much and buy books online and do tend to stick to the budget. I have a gift card balance and use that to buy books.
Your turn.

I don’t have a book budget. I budget for some things, but then just have a discretionary amount that can be used for craft, books or other things.
I tend to keep a list of books that I want to buy – ones that I’m either waiting for them to be published or until they actually arrive in Australia for purchase.
I do usually wait until Koorong has a sale and then get as many books off my list as I can.
That makes sense. I use to always wait to the after Christmas sale. I often buy things with the 20% off sale (or free postage and 25% over 100)
I try to wait for the sales to buy any hardcover books. Usually my budget is $10-$15 for fiction books and $20-$25 for non-fiction. Having said that, if I really want a book, I tend to just ignore the price and buy it…
Sounds good I tend to wait for sales too.
