Fiction Friday | Book Review of Winning Julia’s Heart by Narelle Atkins

Today I am reviewing Winning Julia’s Heart by Narelle Atkins. This book is releasing today.

Book Description

Can a former bad boy be redeemed?

Sean Mitchell has left his past behind, but his new boss, Julia Radcliffe, isn’t so sure. A year ago, Sean walked out on his brother’s wedding and her. Now the bad boy with the surfer good looks is back and determined to make a new life with Julia. She wonders whether she can truly trust that he’s a changed man.

It took time and faith, but Sean is finally on the right path. And his feelings for Julia have only grown stronger. But when Sean’s past threatens to jeopardize their future, can he convince Julia they both want the same thing; a love that can overcome every mistake?

Winning Julia’s Heart was previously titled Winning Over the Heiress and published in 2015 by Harlequin’s Love Inspired Heartsong Presents line.

My Review

This is book two in the Sydney Sweethearts series and features Julia and Sean. We were introduced to Julia in book one as Cassie’s best friend and Sean is her husband Ryan’s brother.
Julia is working as the Administrator for her church and Sean gets a job there as well. There was an incident at the wedding which has Julia unsure about Sean. Sean is still dealing with his past and trying to put it behind him but he is being careful. Julia isn’t aware of some of the issues and sees some things differently and as irresponsible.  Julia also has some things she is dealing with which she isn’t prepared for.
It was fun getting to know both these characters and watch them sort through different issues. We also meet Sean’s father and I admit I didn’t like how he treated Sean. We learn more about the rocky relationship and why it happened. I also like how we see how different people can see the same situation from different perspectives and because each things they all see it the same it’s not talked about. Therefore often these issues causes there own problems
I am looking forward to the next book in the series which features Julia’s sister Billie. A good book and a good series.
