Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat.
This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week. As we are a faith-based group the questions refer mainly to Christian fiction or non-fiction.
Today’s question is:
Which book character would you least like as a travel companion?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group. Remember to comment today on Tuesday Book Chat to enter the giveaway.
Let’s chat!
While this should be easy it’s not. Kyla from Trinity Lakes comes to mind she is extremely self-centred and entitled and caused so much strife. Traveling with her would be a nightmare unless I can lose her at the first stop.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

Hi Jenny, Oh man, the last person you’d want to travel with is Kyla! Meredith Resce created a memorable character in Kyla — who’s memorable for all the wrong reasons. Kyla epitomises the fake friend who lies and backstabs people and shares malicious gossip and runs nasty smear campaigns… a classic narcissist and, if you know a Kyla in real life, run! No contact with people like Kyla is the healthiest option and she’d be at the top of my list to avoid as a travel companion, too!
She’s also the person if I had to travel somewhere with her to get there. I would not let her be incharge of MY tickets etc. like flying I would make sure I booked my own flights and accommodation even if in the same plane and place but would not be sharing a room with her. Cos if she was in charge who knows if I would even have a ticket.
LOL! The dirty tricks she could pull… Characters like her are very untrustworthy and the last thing you’d want is someone like her having any control or toxic influence in your life… And, when everything goes pear-shaped because they’ve interfered and done the wrong thing by you, they will automatically blame shift and make out that everything is your fault because they are perfect and they are always the victim who has been wronged… Sigh…
