Simple answer Yes. I can remember when Barbour first brought out the Christmas novella’s I loved them and looked forward to them. I can remember reading them on bus trips to the city. I still love reading Christmas stories.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. I will be late replying as have a trip to the city today.

  1. I love reading Christmas novels and watching Christmas movies. I usually don’t start until 1 December, but this year I started in October because I needed something to lift my spirits during lockdown. Remembering why we really celebrate Christmas tends to do that for me. Problem is, I’m fast running out because I watched most movies twice now and read almost all of my Christmas books. I’m thinking I need to visit my local library soon!

    1. Channel 9 is doing midday Christmas movies at present. I got Amazon Prime (if you don’t have it you can get a one month free trial) and watching Christmas movies there.
A trip to the library is always good too. There are a few free novels on Amazon right now. I just got one today.

  2. Yes!! I buy a new supply each year and save them to read in December. I also read some old favourites as well. There are some Christmas books that I’ve read multiple years in a row.
As for Christmas movies, we’ve been watching one each week for several weeks now for our Friday night movie night. If you’re in Australia, Channel 7 has some good Hallmark Christmas movies on 7plus.

  3. I don’t specifically choose Christmas themed novels but I do enjoy a good Christmas movie.

One of my favourite scenes from a Christmas novel is in Little Women when they gift their Christmas to a poor family. Brings tears every time.
