Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.
Today’s question is:
Do you prefer to read small towns or big city settings?
We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.
Let’s chat!
I prefer small towns as I can relate more to those books. Small towns seem to have a close knit community in books. I am not opposed to big cities depending on the story but don’t always relate to the stories.
Your turn.
I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group.

I probably prefer small town settings, but I don’t really mind as long as the setting is interesting. I much prefer to read about a place I don’t know much about, like Churchill, the polar bear capital, which was the setting in Laurie Wood’s books ‘Northern Deception’ and ‘Northern Protector’.
True I know cities can be interesting depending on the subject and setting. If its a big city and the focus is on famous, rich, spoilt I am not likely to like it as much but then a small town has those annoying people as well.
Yes, it all comes back to the story. I like something original and preferably in an interesting setting.
I prefer small towns as people seem to interact more. I also enjoy outback towns and properties.
Yes I agree with that
