Yes. I bought The Case of the Calico Quartz by Jan Drexler because of the animals on the cover. There are others I also bought due to the cat on the cover. Often I will check out the blurb but if not for the cover I wouldn’t even looked at the book. So yes for me covers matter.

I agree I will read books I don’t like the cover but a good cover often makes me checking out books I may not have seen before.
I always read the blurb to make my final decision. However, I have picked up books for their covers especially when there are animals that get my attention.

I’m the same. I’ve never bought one just for the cover. The blurb is what sells it for me in the end, but the cover is part of it!
I know it was cosy mystery when I bought it and I did buy it for the cover and loved it. the cat kept saying buy me. it was on sale for .99cents.
Yes, I’ve started with the cover and then checked the blurb to see if I would actually read it.
