Tuesday Book Chat | Have You Ever Re-read a Book and Had it Impact You in Two Different Ways?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

Have you ever re-read a book and had it impact you in two different ways?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

Mostly I have only re-read books when a child and teen. As an adult the only ones I normally will re-read are devotionals. I think often I will get something different out of them. Sometimes I will remember the devotions but other times its like a new book. Normally its a few years between reads.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.

  1. Yes! I read a love triangle as a teen and hated the other dude. Read it as an adult and realized the other dude was a nice guy. The girl was a jerk for stringing him along. Not to mention I no longer liked the guy she ends up with. Thought it was bad the way he pursued her when he knew she was with the other guy. I have different views of love now I’m married.

    1. I could see how that would change in time. I don’t really read many with love triangles.

  2. I’ve re-read the Sisterchicks books by Robin Jones Gunn multiple times and there have been different impacts each time. Some I needed to read a second (or third) time for me to appreciate some of what was in it because of the twists and turns my life had taken since reading it the first time.

    1. And some of them have more in them than others Like the one in the Netherlands. I remember the Corrie Ten Boom house.
