Let’s chat!

I have read novels set around Easter mainly from North America but can’t think of any by title. Have read a couple of Easter devotionals also. I am not sure there are many Easter novels set in this area but if you do have one please let us know.

Your turn.

  1. Roseanna White’s A Stray Drop of Blood has a powerful and pivotal scene set during the Passion. The consequences of that are why this is one of my favorite books by her. It was the first of hers I read, and it hooked me on her writing.

  2. ‘Crime Scene Jerusalem’ by Alton Gansky is one I read every few years.
A good devotional is ‘Captured by Calvary’ by Ray Hawkins.
There’s another one, but I can’t remember the title. It was a Heartsong book about an Easter play.

    1. thanks for the add. I know there are some LI books also Janet Tronstad has written a couple around this time but are more Spring books.

      1. Hi Beth and Jenny, Ray’s devotional is a great read. I also have a vague recollection of a Heartsong book with a passion play and I had a dig around on Google. I *think* the one I read is Down From the Cross by Joyce Livingston. The hero is a famous opera singer and an atheist at the start of the story. Happy Easter. 😊
