Tuesday Book Chat | How Many Books Have You Read This Year?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

How many books have you read this year?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

I sort of answered this last week. Hopefully when this is published 14 for the year. Not counting children’s books. This does include a couple of devotionals. I have had at least 3 unfinished devotionals.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. I will be late replying as have a trip to the city today.

  1. 115 according to goodreads. So probably around 125 since there are always 10 or so that I don’t record for various reasons 🙂

    1. Wow impressive. I use to read over 100 a year but since getting the constant migraine pain and other head pain I tire and don’t concentrate. Also I have found if you stop read for awhile it can take more to get back into it. I always thought mum was just saying she would get back to reading but wasn’t really trying. I now can go months without really reading so I think once again my thinking was wrong. I am trying to read at least one a month now.

    1. Thanks for stopping by Penny. I use to have a goal I and then just wasn’t reading so I start low like 12 then add more when I hit that goal. I use goodreads to keep track.

  2. I’m currently sitting at 149, but there will be at least 3 more finished before the 31st – mostly devotionals.
It’s not quite my highest number (that was 166 in 2010), but it will be in the top 5 years.

  3. Hi Jenny, I’ve read at least 50 books that I have tracked (via book recommendations on my blog and data from Kindle on ebooks Read) but the real number is higher. I read print books and I might only read one or two books in a box set and I might not click far enough to the end of the ebook for Kindle to count the book as Read. My goal is usually a minimum of 50 and I’ve definitely achieved it. 😊
