Tuesday Book Chat | What Are The Benefits of Joining an Author’s Street Team?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

What are the benefits of joining an author’s street team?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

They get to read a new book early and they get to help an author. Another benefit is being on a street team you get to know the author more. Also often an author will have a contests just for the street team and you also know when a new book will be coming out.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.

  1. Hi Jenny, It’s many years since I’ve officially been on a street team. It’s fun to be able to support authors and help spread the word about books that I personally love reading. The level of commitment for a street team varies, depending on the author. My hesitation, from a reader perspective, would be what happens if I join a street team and don’t love the book? I’ve learned that even long time favourite authors can write books that aren’t my favourite. Thoughts?

    1. Thankfully most will give the option to choose which books you want to review. It hasn’t happened with a street team but I have been on a review team I had to tell the organiser I couldn’t review a book due to language which was in was find in America not so here. Most would rather you not put a review if it cant be 4 stars or above.
