Tuesday Book Chat | What’s Your Favourite Fictional Pet and Why?

Welcome to Tuesday Book Chat. This is where we encourage book lovers to answer our bookish question of the week.

Today’s question is:

What’s your favourite fictional pet and why?

We look forward to hearing your thoughts. Please join in the conversation by commenting on this post or on the blog post shared in our Australasian Christian Writers Facebook Group.

Let’s chat!

Now this one I can answer. I have a couple but the first would be Cat from The Gladiator by Carla Capshaw. Cat is a tiger and has a lovely personality. My next favourite would be Psych in Cheryl Wyatt’s Wings of Refuge series. Psych has a very big personality and is I loved everything he made an appearance.

Your turn.

I look forward to reading your comments here or at the FB group. Remember all comments go into the monthly drawer for a gift voucher.

  1. I’m not sure about my favourite pet, but one of the most memorable is the pet mongoose who saves the day in Colleen Coble’s ‘Black Sands’, set in Hawaii. I can’t say exactly why due to spoilers, but the mongoose was involved in a climactic scene that was both suspenseful and hilarious in turns.

    1. Sounds interesting and glad you are not giving anything away.

  2. I liked Timmy the dog in the Enid Blyton “Famous Five” series. In my ptr-teen and early teens I was a keen Enid Blyton reader, especially the Famous Five books. I remember (naughty, naughty) even having one under my school books in class and sneaking a read when I could.

    1. You were a rebel. I don’t remember him as much. I think I read it as Christian fiction but it doesn’t say that.
