Book Review:

This is the third book by Megan Short set in Cordova Alaska. While the books are set in the same location and have some cross over characters they can be read as stand alone books. I loved the first two books and was looking forward to this one and I wasn’t disappointed. Each book has gotten better. This book reads well and I was hooked from page one.

Phoebe Tait arrives in Alaska with her 2-year-old son Charlie looking for answers about her husband’s death. When Charlie is abducted, she runs into Officer Jock O’Halloran who just happens to be patrolling around the airport. Together they are able to stop the kidnapping but it’s just the start of the danger. There seems to be danger at every corner. Someone doesn’t want them looking into Phoebe’s husband’s death and think she knows more than she does.

We meet Jock’s mother when Phoebe and Charlie need somewhere safe to stay. She is great with Charlie and understands what Phoebe is going through having been a young widow also. The book had me guessing and I did have a few ideas but there were many surprises.

I also like seeing characters from the other books and what is happening in their lives now. If you enjoy Alaska, Love Inspired Suspense I am sure you will enjoy this book.
