Greatly enjoyed this book! A page-turner that I could not put down! The characters in this book are all well defined; the storyline ties to prior books, but can definitely be a stand alone.

I love this series. It is well researched, and really takes you back to the first century, and the harsh world faced by the early church. The characters are well developed, the plot fascinating, and though the world was especially brutal, that aspect is dealt with sensitively and with tact.
